Local, in-person classes offered to help get your dog working with YOU rather than for himself.
Our six-week course will teach you and your dog essential on-leash skills such as sit, down, stay, recall, heel, and place. It is also an opportunity to help owners deal with problems such as pulling on the leash, jumping on people, etc. and serves as a great controlled atmosphere for socializing your dog with new environments, new people, and dogs.

This group dog training class does not incorporate the use of e-collar training (Please see our Board and Train and Private lesson training programs for those skills).
What You Can Expect

Participants will learn how to better manage their dog’s behavior, improve leash handling techniques, properly apply lure/reward training, plus, the art of when and how to add a well timed correction to the training (if needed) to improve overall reliability of your dog’s behavior.

The class will address basic behaviors including: walking nicely (Heel) on leash, Sit/Stay, Down/Stay, maintaining a Place, and Come when called. We will also address minor nuisance behaviors such as door bolting, jumping up on people, and snatching (Leave It).

Class sizes are kept small (maximum trainer-to-dog ratio is 1:6) so that each participant gets the individualized attention they need to reach their training goals. Handouts with homework are distributed at the end of each class. Each participant will be added to a private Messenger group so that you'll have on-demand support throughout the entire length of the session (and beyond!) We are committed to helping you and your dog succeed!
